Play can be a launch pad that propels you in the right direction – if you’ve ever felt your work is tight, flat, or just missing a certain something, bringing playfulness into your process can really help.

• loosen up with mark-making and see how we can apply this to our own creative process 

• Follow along drawing with David Melling as he creates his signature ghoulish goblins  

• Watch and learn as David and Vivian walk us through the process of progressive, sequential illustration – see how this helps with characterisation and movement  

• Explore how simple ink blobs lead to inspiration
