‘NICE TO MEET YOU!’ – A NEW PICTURE HOOKS COMPETITION

Exciting news! It’s time for our next Instagram competition: ‘Nice to Meet You!‘

Who’s meeting who? Surprise us on the swipe-through!

We’d like you to create two illustrations in a swipe-through format to show us two or more characters meeting for the first time. Our competitions are all about encouraging illustrators to think about storytelling, the page turn, showing character, and expressing feelings – so, we’ll be looking to see how you communicate your characters’ experience through their facial expressions and physicality. We want you to embrace the open nature of this prompt, let your imagination run wild and, most of all, have fun while you’re creating!

The competition is open for submissions from 09:00 Tuesday 1st July to Wednesday 6th August 23:59 (BST). The winner will receive £500; two runners-up will receive £250 each!

Entries can be in any medium, so get out your pens, brushes, or stylus! Just make sure you follow our submission guidelines as the final entries must be digital files.
