Using our website

When you use our website, we collect usage data, which may include information about which device you’re using (eg, laptop or mobile phone); which pages you have visited; the referral website; your geographic location; and your search criteria.

Attending Picture Hooks Events

When you sign up for an event we collect your email address and your name. Where events are booked via a partner website please refer to their individual privacy policy. Where tickets are sold through Eventbrite please see their privacy policy.

Submitting Work for our Mentoring Scheme

When you apply for our mentoring scheme we collect your name, email address, and a biography from you plus a selection of your artwork. This artwork may be used for the promotion of Picture Hooks but you will be notified of this is prior to publication and fully credited for your work. It will never be used commercially or shared with anyone else.

We will never share your data

We will never share your data with any other organisations in the UK or internationally, or use it for anything other than its intended purpose. We will never share your information with any third party organisation, unless you have given us explicit permission to do so.

Photography at Events

There is sometimes photography and filming at Picture Hooks events. When that is the case, we will let you know in advance and we can arrange that your photo not be taken. At larger events if you do not give us permission to be captured in advance we cannot guarantee you will be able to attend the event – in this case permission will be sought well in advance.

We may also upload event photography and videos to our social media channels via Twitter, Facebook, & Instagram.

If your likeness is captured, it may be used for marketing purposes solely related to Picture Hooks.

Accessing your information or requesting a deletion

You may ask us at any time to access your personal information, or correct any inaccuracies, by emailing info@picturehooks.org.uk.

You have the right to delete your personal information. Please email us at info@picturehooks.org.uk if you wish to delete your data. We will email you within seven working days to confirm receipt of your request, and your data will be deleted within 28 working days.

Retention Period

Picture Hooks will retain information collected from event attendees, mentoring scheme applications, and other submissions for 10 years, after which time all records will be deleted.

Consent

By disclosing your personal information to us via our website, email, written documents or over the telephone, you consent to the collection, processing and storing of your data by Picture Hooks, as set out by this policy.
