Led by the award-winning illustrator Pam Smy

Using a technique of drawing directly onto the screen (not with stencils or photo exposure), Pam Smy will take you through the process and help you to produce a two-colour screen print in a few hours.

Pam Smy is Senior Lecturer Practitioner in Illustration with the Cambridge School of Art at Anglia Ruskin University. She is also part of the Orange Beak triumvirate, offering workshops and one-to-one portfolio sessions for illustrators. Pam combines her lecturing with ongoing writing and illustrating for children, specializing in illustration for chapter books and novels for older children. Her last novel, Thornhill, was shortlisted for the CILIP Greenaway Medal in 2018. Her work has been published by a range of UK publishers and around the world including USA, China, Korea, Italy, Spain, South America, France and The Netherlands. This is a great opportunity to learn from a remarkable talent.

Materials and paper will be supplied – you will need to supply a design of your own to work from in advance. Pam will be in touch with you to help with this.

Coffee and tea provided during the day, but please bring your own packed lunch.
