Tracey Smith

Illustrator: class of 2015

Tracey graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2008 with a first class BA (Hons) in Illustration.

Working from her Wasps Meadowmill studio in Dundee, she’s inspired by bold colours, absurd stories, beautifully designed European children’s books, originality, printed lines and textures, Catalonia, bright graphic posters and wordless picture books.

Museum and gallery collections also influence Tracey’s work; as a creative practitioner and arts co-ordinator she has worked with venues, festivals and groups across Scotland.

Tracey was mentored by Cate James.
