Who is it for?

Open to all.  Suitable for everyone interested in picture books illustration
Please do not bring samples of your work to the conference

What’s it about

The insider’s view of the children’s publishing industry from the publisher, designer, illustrator, author and agent.

Speakers from Orchard Books and Walker Books, and the award-winning Ross Collins will give you an insight into the publishing process:

• How do they select their illustrators?
• How should you present your portfolio?
• How is a picture book planned and designed?
• What other opportunities are there for children’s illustrators?

You will meet authors, agents and booksellers and learn further details about the Picture Hooks Mentoring Scheme.

There will be networking opportunities throughout the day.
